Who Is Eligible?
The University of Manitoba offers a number of scholarships and bursaries to international undergraduate students. The Canada Visa International Undergraduate Student Bursary is one such award, and it is open to any student who holds a valid Canadian study permit. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program at the University of Manitoba, and must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.5 in their previous academic year. Additionally, students must demonstrate financial need as determined by the University of Manitoba's Financial Aid office.
Students admitted on Mature Student Status (MSS) will also be eligible for bursary consideration. International students in their first year of post-secondary study in Canada are not eligible to apply to the general bursary program yet

What are the requirements?
To be eligible for the Canada Visa International Undergraduate Student Bursary, you must:
-be an international student studying at the University of Manitoba on a Canadian study permit;
-be enrolled in or have applied to a full-time undergraduate program at the University of Manitoba;
-have a strong academic record;
-demonstrate financial need;
-be involved in extracurricular activities and/or community service; and
-not be in receipt of another major award (i.e. Entrance Scholarship).
The Canada Visa International Undergraduate Student Bursary provides up to $7,500 per year (approximately 3.5 years) up to a maximum amount of $25,000 over 4 years ($50,000 total).
In order to apply for this Canada Student Bursary, please make sure you submit on or before Oct 1st.

The University of Manitoba International Undergraduate Student Bursary is open to all international undergraduate students who are enrolled at the University of Manitoba.
